Wow this sketch sure was a hassle. It’s a good thing I was ahead this week. I wanted to get a lot of the setup for this part done in this one page so it ended up quite busy. There will be just a little more setup and things can get moving again. This page is going to take a very long time to line and color, and I encountered a major issue today that requires resolution, so the update for this may be late Friday again.

Sorry for the late update everyone. I know that happens often, but usually it’s just hours whereas this week I feel behind a full day. I’ll still have this done by Friday, but I will have to prioritize having my lines and colors elsewhere done first, so both the lines and colors for this may very well have to wait for Friday.

Sorry for the late update but it’s been a hassle figuring out how I wanted to do the montage that transitions into the next part. After some tinkering I ended up deciding it’s going to have to be two pages for me to be satisfied with it. The uncertainty for the page also made the actual drawing process itself much more difficult as I was filled with doubt and uncertainty on a lot of things, but it will have to do as is.

At least I have the flow of the whole thing established so I have far more of a basis in mind when it comes to starting the next page. This means one more page after this one before transitioning to the next scene/location.

I don’t actually plan to show Gwen carrying out her plan in any more than a 1-2 page montage. This means that this part for a fact will be ending in 1-2 more pages after this one, so the next part will be starting within that many weeks.

I was very unsure as to what to do with this page and thus got a super late start on the actual clean sketching process. A part of me is wanting to rush this part to the finish since it’s so close already, but at the same time I don’t want to cram too much into one page, so it was hard plotting exactly how much I wanted to put into this page.

I was also unsure of the mannerisms to put in this page for Ben, so the dialogue took some time to decide on. Still not sure if I’m satisfied on that front so it may change for the lines/colors, but I did decide it appropriate for Ben to continue looking at the situation increasingly playfully/casually.

I was super late in uploaded my BF page for this week, but luckily this was a rather simple page to get caught back up with. Up next is Ben’s turn to finish then I can finally start on wrapping this part up and moving on to the next.

Late update is late but nothing new about that. Yet again the page was much more trouble than it should have been to sketch as I’m still not over this problem of having a difficult time with this phase. At least this part is nearly complete so hopefully things start to work out better by the time I start the next part.

Sorry for the very late update. I was very, very slow in drawing the last two days to get this done. I spent forever with my script first as I had a lot of uncertainties as to how to finish this part in regards to the amount of pages I want to finish it in and how I want it to transition into the next one. Due to vast amounts of uncertainty even after finally getting past that stage I simply redid many parts of this page far too many times before finally deciding to go with what I had. It wasn’t even an overly difficult page to sketch once past that, but after all of that hassle I was just in a slump in terms of being okay with anything I did so it made the page far more difficult than it had to be. At least the sketch is done, and although I’m very far behind as a result of all this I’ll still try my best to have everything done by end of day Friday.

Now that I’ve taken care of the couple extra things I wanted to address in this part there should only be a few more pages before it’s ready to move on to the next part of this act, which will finally include a different activity between these two.
