I know I don’t normally upload sketches lately, but I am still dealing with some things, and I struggled to decide how I wanted to do this page, which in the end gave me rough guides that were far too rough to follow in a reasonable amount of time if I went straight to lines. Considering it was already quite late, and my hand was cramping by the time I finally decided how I wanted to do this, I decided to just do a sketch to have something to post. Luckily the page is simply so lining it should be no problem once I wake up from sleep.

A large reason this was so problematic for me is because I kept thinking I needed to go for more complex poses or angles, but given what the page is for it wasn’t really appropriate to do so. Things aren’t fully picked up yet, so while things are still slow I should try to keep things minimal as to not clash with any more active pages to come.

I know I’m super late with this update but I should still be done mostly on time. I fell a whole day+ behind due to the holidays, and I ended up putting in the effort to get another priority done for the week before touching this page. This means that I should still be able to line this tonight and then get started on the colors to have them done some time Friday as usual.

Also, it should be obvious that this page marks the start of the next new part of this comic, finally hitting Ben and Gwen’s night alone together in their new tent.

This page marks the end of this part so the next page should transition to the next one. There will be more Lucy upcoming, but for now this was just an introduction of her character. There’s still a little more to do between Ben and Gwen before I’d have her participate.

I should have had this done sooner but people like to distract me during the holidays. I’m sure I’ll still have some distractions, but I’ll try my best to have this done by Friday regardless.

I’m going to try to make some extra progress over this weekend to get through this scene a little bit faster. I would have liked to over the recent weekend, but I had extra stuff to do and wanted to let my shoulder recover anyway. I’m not making any guarantees that I’ll be able to, but that’s my plan at this point.

So this is a pretty simple page and I should have been done much sooner for that reason but I seem to have mysteriously pulled what seems to be my trapezius muscle. I looked left only slightly while drawing to look at a Discord notification when I suddenly felt like something pulled. Since then I’ve had an intense pain that seems to gradually get worse as I sit upright and move my drawing arm. This pain has been present since I was sketching something else earlier this week and bothered me through the entire sketching process for this image. Hopefully the pain subsides a bit after I sleep, but if it doesn’t get better I may have to take it easy and stretch my updates through the weekend this week because the pain gets excruciating once it has built up long enough while working.
