I wasn’t really in the mood to color so I went with a simple approach on this. I wish I had this done sooner but I’m still dealing with crap that’s taking up my time. Hopefully that’s over for good within the next week or two, but I can make no guarantees.

I’m not quite as satisfied with this as most other holiday pieces but I wasn’t really in the mood to do one this time around. As such I decided to just use this to mess around with some things in the lining, which I was in the mood for.

These tend to feel like a burden at times because I have to force myself to come up with a theme related to the holiday, so I may opt out of doing holiday stuff next year. Instead I’ll likely utilize the holidays to do an OC piece in general as opposed to just doing something holiday related. This means I’ll use the time slots the same way, I’ll just restrict myself less in what I can do. This doesn’t mean I absolutely won’t do anything holiday related, but that will depend on if inspiration for something strikes at the time.

I myself have a dinner I must get to today that will take up more of my day than usual so I will be a bit late with my progress on Sultry Summer this week. I’m still aiming to have it done Friday, but I’m just letting you all know that based on how today goes I’m not turning down the possibility that it will not be done until Saturday.

For the costumes I had the characters go in pairs as they traditionally do. Addison and her sister Allison are the Mad Hatter and Alice from Alice in Wonderland. Brooke and her brother Cody are dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf.

I worked on this over the weekend and throughout the week did some minor touch-ups. I didn’t post anything over the weekend since I wanted to save the upload of this for Halloween day, which is why I am uploading it now.

I started this piece last weekend but didn’t have enough time to finish it. I had to design Addison’s sister before I could start it and I had my normal weekend distractions on top of that. I managed to get this lined over the weekend but had to color it today so I will likely have to release Sultry Summer later in the day again this Friday. I also have something to attend to tonight that I just became aware of so that will further set me back, meaning I may not start the lines for Sultry Summer until I finish the colors for something else. Regardless I promise to have everything done mostly on time this week.
